The Wolkenkraft ÄRiS Ultra is a German-engineered portable built around one idea: a vapour path you can take apart and see straight through. That patented ECA air path works together with a titanium chamber and true convection. Owners rate it highly for clean flavour in a device this size.

It suits anyone who wants that level of flavour without a cleaning ritual. The chamber is sized for a solo or two-person session, not a big group load. That is part of the deal: a smaller load extracts more evenly and stretches the battery across a full day.

The patented ECA air path is a key reason many owners choose this vaporizer. Take off the mouthpiece and push the screen out from below. The heating chamber and air channel are then completely exposed.

You can look straight through the vaporizer from top to bottom. Nothing is sealed off, and nothing is out of reach of a brush.

The dual OLED display shows set temperature, live temperature and remaining session time together. You can watch the live temperature climb towards your setting.

Lower settings around 175 °C to 190 °C preserve lighter compounds and terpenes. Higher settings around 200 °C to 210 °C extract more material in fewer draws. A common approach is to start low, then step up in 10 °C jumps.

The titanium chamber loads from the top with the mouthpiece removed. A tapered edge lets ground herbs slot straight in. Fill it loosely so air can circulate. A tight pack works against convection.

Two dosing capsules come in the box, one for herbs and one for concentrates. A small sealed container that holds both is included as well. The lids screw shut, so pre-loaded capsules do not spill or smell in a bag. Capsules drop into the chamber either way round.

Use concentrates in a capsule only. The bare chamber is for herbs.

You can speed things up with extra steel capsules, a filling tool and a second capsule container, all sold separately. More capsules mean fewer chamber cleanings and quicker swaps through the day.

Three buttons control everything: one large button for power and menus, two small buttons for temperature. Here is a full session from start to finish.

1. Loading: Grind your herbs finely, take the mouthpiece off and fill the chamber loosely. Or drop a pre-filled capsule straight in.
2. Closing: Snap the magnetic mouthpiece back on until it clicks.
3. Powering on: Press the large button five times quickly. The vape vibrates, shows the logo and starts heating right away.
4. Setting the temperature: Use the two small buttons to dial in 1 °C steps. The vaporizer ships set to Fahrenheit. To switch to Celsius, hold the large button and the bottom small button together.
5. Setting the timer: Hold the large button to adjust session length from 3 to 7 minutes in 10-second steps.
6. Inhaling: A second vibration means the vape is at the set temperature. Draw slowly and gently, like sipping a hot drink. The first draw is light and pure; the following draws come through fully.
7. Stirring: Use the magnetic tool in the base to stir mid-session. Step the temperature up 10 °C at a time as you go.
8. Finishing: Press the large button five times to switch off, or let the timer run out and it will shut down on its own. Push the used load out from underneath with the same tool, then snap it back into the base.

The built-in 2600 mAh cell delivers around 8 sessions per charge, enough to cover a full day for most people. Heavier users who run longer sessions or higher temperatures may need to charge more often.

A full charge over USB-C takes about 80 minutes, which works out at roughly 10 minutes of charging per session. That is about 35% faster than the previous ÄRiS. The battery is sealed and not user-replaceable, as is standard for this class.

The USB-C port sits on the bottom, so the vape lies flat while charging. It does run while plugged in, though regular pass-through use wears the cell over time. The body warms during longer sessions, which is typical for a vaporizer this compact.

Press any button while the vape is off to see the current battery level. The box includes a USB-A to USB-C cable, but no wall adapter.

After each session, brush out the chamber while it is still warm, then push the used material through with the built-in tool. That takes seconds.

Every ten to thirty sessions, do a full teardown. The mouthpiece comes apart completely, so you can soak the silicone seal, the glass insert and the housing separately in isopropyl alcohol. A viewing window in the mouthpiece lets you see how dirty the glass is before you commit to a full clean.

Two cleaning brushes, alcohol wipes and tweezers come in the box. The parts that wear out are the mouthpiece screens and the silicone ring with screen, both available separately when they need replacing.
